Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director-General (DG) Muhammad Suhail Khawaja on Monday said that the FDA was committed to boost the construction sector in the wake of the construction sector incentive package announcement, a news source reported.

The FDA DG chaired a meeting to review the administrative and departmental services aimed at boosting and promoting the city’s housing sector. FDA Additional Director General (ADG) Amer Aziz, Directors Junaid Hasan, Mehr Ayub, and Asma Mohsin were all present at the occasion.

Khawaja emphasised the significance of PM’s incentive package for the construction sector and stated that it would consolidate the country’s economy. It will boost the performance of the allied industries and reduce unemployment in the country, he added.

Khawaja said Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar had issued special directives to the development authorities to take steps to improve the performance of the construction sector by following a practical strategy.

The DG further directed FDA officials to resolve matters associated with the construction of commercial and residential buildings on a priority basis. He said that approval of maps for structures and relevant administrative support should be dispensed on a timely basis and special efforts should be made to enhance investment in the construction sector.
