Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Suhail Khawaja has said that an urban forest park is being established on 12 acres of land in the FDA City. He further stated that this facility was being developed under the federal government ‘Clean and Green Pakistan’ programme.

The DG was inspecting the progress of urban forest project. He said that more than 100,000 saplings of different kinds would be planted at the project site. He further said that 69 parks would be developed in the FDA City. The tree plantation campaign is already underway in the society and different saplings are being planted in greenbelts and on roadsides.

He said that the urban forest will be developed according to the advanced requirement of horticulture. He said that the technical support will be obtained from experts. The urban forest park would be transformed into a recreational point by carrying out beautiful and attractive landscaping. He directed the staff to develop the parks at the sites specified in the FDA City.
