Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Muhammad Sohail Khawaja has asked the FDA City allottees to only pay the amount specified by the authority for the submission of development charges, according to a news source. The DG gave the directives while listening to public complaints at his office.

As per details, the FDA had determined per marla rate of plots in the society at PKR 64,000 in 2004-05. This figure did not include development charges of PKR 15,000 per marla for electricity supply. The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESC) notified these rates in 2016-17. FDA City plot allottees will pay the same amount.

Speaking to a complainant, the DG said that crackdown against illegal housing schemes and against individuals found misusing amenity plots will continue. He also advised the stakeholders to not listen to rumours and get confirmation from the FDA Office of the project management unit.
