Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has commenced with the repairs and maintenance work on the city’s streets and roads infrastructure, according to a news source. As per FDA officials, the project is scheduled for completion next month, at an estimated cost of PKR 145 million.

According to the deputy director (engineering), the authority plans to carry out repair works on 16 intercity roads and 22 streets. Similarly, the FDA would spend PKR 13.4 million for carrying out the carpeting and construction work on roads and streets in Union Council 44 (located near Shahab Town).

Moreover, the official said that the civic agency would launch 22 schemes for the development of PCC streets in various union councils in the coming week.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson of the FDA has announced that the development authority recently sealed seven illegal housing schemes situated in various areas of the city.
