Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has announced its decision to ensure the implementation of the law for preventing the emergence of illegal housing schemes in the city, a news source reported.

FDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Suhail Khawaja revealed this information during a meeting held to review measures against encroachments, building by-laws violations, and illegal housing schemes in the city.
The FDA DG directed the officials concerned for expediting the operations against illegal projects, encroachments, and land grabbers in the city; further ordering them to carry out these operations without discrimination.
To this effect, he stated that the Special Judicial Magistrate would accompany the FDA enforcement team and police officials during these operations.

The FDA DG emphasised that that they would adopt legal course of action for recovering the fines and other dues. He added that the authority was committed to utilising all available resources for enhancing the FDA services for city development and public relief.
