Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Shabbar Zaidi has announced in a tweet on Thursday that the revised edition of the board’s FBR IRIS portal ‘Maloomat‘ (meaning information) will be available from September 15, 2019 – a news source reported.

Zaidi further tweeted that the FBR IRIS portal ‘Maloomat’ is being regularly updated. The portal contains a trove of information on taxation, including the relevant laws, regulations, and notices issued by FBR.
FBR Chairman advised the people looking to file returns to seek assistance on the portal. IRIS is FBR’s online portal that allows resident Pakistanis to file their returns online.

The chairman further said that the information available on the portal represents the data, among other things, available at the FBR.
FBR has launched an aggressive campaign against tax evaders, which includes ambitious plans for the expansion of the tax base, and these online tools and portals form a part of that effort.
