The campaign will kick off from E-7 Islamabad, and will aim to identify high-net-worth individuals not currently falling within the tax net. The drive is being launched on the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the FBR Chairman, with the inauguration scheduled for today.
An FBR official said that the campaign’s launch from the country’s well-to-do areas is intended to showcase that the tax base will be broadened without any instances of public harassment. The campaign will be conducted for the next few months to gather data from all corners of the nation.
