Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Shabbar Zaidi has said that the board will launch a mobile app for salaried persons to file tax returns on Friday (today) – a news source reported.
Speaking to the journalists, he said that the mobile app will help citizens and salaried people file their tax returns. He explained that the board has decided to introduce the mobile app to facilitate the masses, business community, and salaried individuals.

He said the app will make filing taxes easy and less time-consuming, and called it a milestone towards complete digitalisation of the taxation system.
Last month, the FBR had also introduced a system titled ‘Fully Automated Sales Tax e-Refund (FASTER)’ to facilitate the exporters.
According to FBR chief sales tax officer Hameed Memon, under the new system sales tax refund payments would be credited into the claimants’ bank accounts within 72 hours.
