Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced its decision to conduct a digital survey of immovable properties situated across the country in order to trace undeclared assets – a news source reported. As per officials, this process will be completed over the course of the next two years.

The board has planned this according to a suggestion by the Chinese authorities under which a digital land survey will be conducted. The survey will be completed by June 30, 2021. The board has taken interior and defence ministries into confidence for the purpose.

According to reports, the FBR has been planning the digital survey for two years but has not been able to start it until now. The geo-tagging of Islamabad sector I-9’s industrial area is also planned under this. The measures are expected to reduce tax evasion.
