Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is looking to start arresting tax evaders, defaulters and non-filers after June 15, according to a news source. A compressive plan in this regard has also been finalised.
In this regard, the FBR has already collected the data of a selected group of people. This includes people who travel abroad frequently, conduct bank transactions, and own real estate.
In the real estate domain, complete details of contractors engaged in the construction of bungalows and real estate transactions has also been acquired from Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Malir Development Authority (MDA), Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA).
Reportedly, the FBR has collected this data with the help of the National Database Management Authority.
