Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has surpassed the revenue collection target for the first seven months of the current fiscal year by collecting a total revenue of PKR 2,570 billion as against the target of PKR 2,550 billion – a news source reported on January 30.

The collection for these 7 months of FY 2020-21 is also 6.4% higher than collection of PKR 2,416 billion during the same period for the previous fiscal year.
FBR also surpassed the collection target for the month of January with the collection of PKR 364 billion as against the target of PKR 340 billion. This is an increase of about 12.3% against the collections from last fiscal year and the first double digit growth in collection recorded for this fiscal year.

Meanwhile, FBR has also refunded a total of PKR 129 billion during this 7-month period, as against refunds of just PKR 69 billion last fiscal – a growth of nearly 87%.
