Islamabad: After meeting with a delegation of senior members of Stone Crushing Associations (SCA), Finance Minister Hammad Azhar directed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to resolve the stone crushing industry’s taxation related issues and address their grievances on priority, according to a news published on April on 10.

Reportedly, FBR is to hold consultative sessions with SCA and work on smooth taxation benchmark enforcement with subcategories. Federal Minister of Fincance Hammad Azhar issued these directives while meeting with SCA delegation led by Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource Ansar Majeed Khan. During the meeting, the delegates informed Finance Ministr about their taxations concerns, especially the sales tax and requested to improve the process by eliminating the anomalies to facilitate the stone crushing industry across the board.

The association also appraised the minister regarding their operational mechanism that works as an important pillar for the construction industry. In response, Minister Hammad assured government’s full cooperation to the stone crushing industry and lauded its contribution to the construction sector. He also highlighted the various stimulus measures being taken by the government to boost the overall construction sector.
