Islamabad: The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has shared the revenue collection statistics for the first two months of (Fiscal Year) FY2020-21, revealing that the revenue target has been exceeded by about PKR 39 billion, according to a news report published today (September 1).

According to details, the board collected a total of PKR 593 billion against the target of PKR 551 billion. The collection for August, however, was below the expected target (PKR 308 billion) and stood at PKR 293 billion. The less-than-expected collection was an offset and was explained by the high collection during the month of July – when the collection surpassed the target by PKR 57 billion.

Moreover, the first quarter (July-September) target has been set PKR 969 billion and the revenue authority will have to collect PKR 376 billion during the month of September to achieve that.
