Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has revealed data that states at least 127 projects have been registered with the relevant authorities and comprises a total projected cost of PKR 63 billion – under the construction industry incentive package announced by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, according to a news source published on October 21.

As per the shared statistics, another 108 developers are currently undergoing the process for registering 114 projects at a projected cost of PKR 109 billion. These registered projects arise from major metropolises in Pakistan and their numbers are as follows:
- Karachi: 61
- Lahore: 44
- Islamabad: 30
- Rawalpindi: 19
- Faisalabad: 10

As per FBR’s official notification, the PM’s incentive for builders and developers is “now picking up and showing definite signs of success”. The deadline for registering these projects under the said construction industry incentive scheme is December 31. Reportedly, the developer associations and builders are urging the government to extend the scheme, however, the government has not yet responded to these appeals.
