Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue has sped up the process of tax recovery from big and influential suspected tax defaulters, reported a news source. Notices were sent to another 154 defaulters to recover tax.
In the first phase, 169 notices had been sent, and in the second phase of recovery, 75 people had been served notices. Moreover, it has been decided that action will be taken against people who bought property worth more than PKR 20 million, bought 1,800 CC cars, or earned more than PKR 10 million in terms of annual rental income, but didn’t file returns.
The tax recovery operation is expected to speed up in the coming months.
