Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected a provisional net revenue of over PKR 2.922 trillion from July to April, according to a statement issued by the board. This was PKR 409 billion or 16% higher than the revenue generated during the same period of the previous fiscal year. However, it did not meet the set target of PKR 3.057 trillion.
The provisional collection for April 2018 was PKR 295 billion, as opposed to the April 2017’s collection of PKR 252 billion. This is an increase of 17%. According to the FBR, the revenue collection of the first ten months bodes well for the FBR towards the achievement of the assigned revised annual revenue targets.
