Ghani said that this development is part of the FBR’s plan to pursue reforms for the next six months and resolve any pending litigation before the superior court on an immediate basis –to recover the tax revenue which is worth billions. This new form will help avoid delays and repeated extensions in the filing of returns.
The chairman was calling on Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, where he also discusses the procedure for a smoother clearance for containers. Following the outbreak of the coronavirus and the lockdown imposed to contain its spread, many containers were stuck at the bordering areas. However, the board is now asking the authorities to allow an increase in the number of human resources needed to clear the backlog.
