Islamabad: Traders and FBR representatives are preparing for a final meeting tomorrow to finalize monthly tax payments under the Tajir Dost Scheme, as reported on July 12.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) in 42 cities will convene online to review and provide feedback on the FBR’s proposed tax tables. These tables outline the estimated monthly tax installments for traders, shopkeepers, and retailers based on market categories such as posh, medium, and poor areas.
The discussions aim to finalise the valuation tables, which will then be recommended to the FBR for official notification by next Monday. The scheme aims to streamline tax payments and categorize markets to ensure fair and manageable tax contributions from businesses across different economic zones.
