The first draw following resumption will take place on March 1, with all the receipts scanned and verified in February and the suspended period as well. In this regard, the FBR released a notification stating that the POS Prize Draw Scheme will continue to be conducted in a transparent manner to provide the public with equal opportunities to participate.
It is significant to remember that FBR suspended the POS Prize programme in November of last year with the pledge to improve the mechanism and add more incentives. The FBR introduced the programme in January 2022 to promote sales documentation and encourage customers to request receipts for their purchases, both of which would help to boost tax collections.
