Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) disclosed that the Point of Sale (POS) invoice verification by customers has increased by 62.7% during February in contrast to January, according to news published on Wednesday (March 30).

According to the details, some 249,000 invoices were verified by the customers in February while in January, a total of 153,000 invoices were verified. It was mentioned that due to the prize scheme and ongoing campaign, the number of verified invoices kept increasing.

Moreover, the number of customers who successfully verified the invoices rose from 27,000 to 39,000 in February. Under the campaign, a prize scheme worth PKR 53 million will be distributed among 1,007 lucky draw winners through a computerised ballot. The draw is held on the 15th of every month at FBR headquarters, Islamabad. Reportedly, out of 4,200 identified Tier-1 retailers, as many as 3,600 have integrated their business operations with the FBR POS system.
