Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has instructed the staff concerned that the Regional Tax Officers (RTO), Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU), Corporate Regional Tax Office (CRTO) will remain open on June 28, 29, and 30, 2019, a news source reported.
This decision was taken to help facilitate the taxpayers looking to pay duties, taxes, filing of income tax returns or declaring their benami assets under the Asset Declaration Ordinance 2019.
The staff deployed in LTUs, RTOs and CRTOs will observe extended working hours till 8:00 PM on Friday (June 28) and Saturday (June 29) and till 11 PM on Sunday (June 30).
To ensure that the taxpayers do not face any hindrances in the payment process, the FBR has instructed the chief commissioners to liaise with the National Bank of Pakistan and State Bank of Pakistan. This cooperation will help ensure the transfer of taxed collected by the FBR offices on June 30 to the respective bank branches on the same date.
