Earlier, the FBR had notified citizens to file their income tax returns/statements by September 30, which was later extended to November 30. Now, the new extension has been granted in order to facilitate the taxpayers and to reach the authority’s target of 4 million tax-filers by end of 2019.
The decision to extend the deadline to file income tax returns and statements for the Tax Year 2019 was communicated to the public through a notification issued by the FBR. Additionally, the notification stated that the new deadline also applied to companies who had paid-off 95% of their admitted tax liability — on or before September 30.
