Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), on Tuesday (December 15), announced to have constituted complaint resolution committees to eliminate issues being faced by people related to sales tax refunds in Punjab, according to news sources.

The FBR has constituted two complaint resolution committees for the residents of northern and southern regions. The southern committee shall involve fixing the issues of the members falling under the jurisdiction of Bahawalpur, Multan, and Sahiwal. The northern committee shall involve members that fall under the jurisdiction of Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Sialkot.

As per the communicated terms of reference (TORs), the complaint resolution committee will be responsible for reviewing complaints and taking immediate actions to resolve them. They will also follow up with the concerned formations and maintain complete records on issues and resolution methods used. Reportedly, these details will be shared by the FBR on a monthly basis.
