The FBR has already granted several extensions to the taxpayers so that they may file their tax returns for the FY2018-19. This move is in response to the authority’s bid to extend the tax net to its set target of 4 million filers by the end of this year.
Recently, the board had announced that its recorded number of tax filers had surpassed the 900,000 mark. FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi also revealed that the number of tax returns recorded on a daily basis had increased by 127% when compared to figures from last year.
