Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday provided a notification of extension to the last dates for sales tax and federal excise duty (FED) returns payment accrued for the months of January and February, a new source reported. It further announced measures to facilitate taxpayers in online submission of tax returns and duties.

The taxation agency said that amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it would accept online payment of taxes and duties. Moreover, it revealed that the date for submitting return of sales and FED for January is fixed for April 15 – extended from the previous deadline of February 28.
Meanwhile, the federal institution stretched the submission deadline for February payments to March 31 – extended from the previous deadline of March 15. According to the FBR statement, taxpayers can pay their sales tax, income tax, FED, and customs duty online via internet banking, mobile banking, and ATM.
