Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday announced that the board has exceeded the tax collection target set for October by 29% growth in revenue collection as compared to the corresponding figures of last month, according to news sources.

As per the details, the FBR has provincially collected PKR 428 billion during October 2021 against the target of PKR 397 billion, which is an increase of PKR 31 billion. In comparison to last year, the provincial revenue collection during the 29 days of October was PKR 428 billion against PKR 331 billion. It was reported that the revenue collection will be further increased after compiling the final figures by the end of the month.

Reportedly, the board has accumulated net revenue of PKR 1,829 billion during July-October 2021-2022 while the target assigned was PKR 1,608 billion, which reflects 14% growth. The FBR’s provincial tax collection during the first four months of the existing fiscal year was PKR 1,829 billion against PKR 1,342 gathered in the first four months of the last fiscal year; it reflected a 36% growth.
