Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday provided notification of another extension in the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns/Statements for Tax Year (TY) 2020, according to news sources. To this effect, the taxation agency stretched the last date from September 30 to December 8.

As per the official circular, the deadline of September 30 for the ‘Individuals and Association of Persons who were required to file their Income Tax Returns/Statements of final taxation for the Tax Year 2020’ was notified to be extended for another two months.

Moreover, firms obligated to file their total income returns/statements of final taxation for TY2020 had been told to avail the said facility. The board stated that it would not provide further extension in the communicated deadline.
Meanwhile, the FBR is expected to announce the revenue collection figures for the first quarter of TY2020.
