Sargodha: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday organised a seminar for apprising its withholding agents regarding the new tax regime recently introduced by the government, a news source reported.
Commissioner Withholding Faisal Dar presided over the session, while Additional Commissioner Withholding Azmat Hayat Ranjha briefed the participants on the relevant rules and regulations.
The commissioner referred to the withholding agents as a ‘vital cog’ in the taxation machinery. These individuals do not only have the status of tax payers, but they are also tax partners, he added.
He then explained the changes made to the taxation laws under the federal budget. Moreover, he apprised the attendees regarding the new tax policy.
Towards the end of the seminar, Faisal Dar addressed concerns of the participants and answered their queries. He assured them of the FBR’s cooperation on various important matters.
