Karachi: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has nominated a team of focal persons for the implementation of the Asset Declaration Ordinance, 2019, a news source reported.
The board has nominated senior officials as focal persons to ensure the successful implementation of the tax amnesty scheme.

In orders issued by the FBR, these officials have been designated as coordinators for different regions of the country. Dr Hamid Ateeq Sarwar, Member Inland Revenue (IR) – Policy will be the Chief Coordinator. Faiz Ellahi Memon, Chief Commissioner-IR, Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Karachi has been designated Coordinator South; he will be covering the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan.

Bashir Ullah Khan, Chief Commissioner-IR, Regional Tax office, Rawalpindi has been designated Coordinator North. He will be overseeing the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Islamabad Capital Territory, and areas falling within the jurisdiction of RTO Rawalpindi.
Asim Majeed Khan, Chief Commissioner-IR, LTU Lahore will be Coordinator Central, covering Punjab (excluding areas falling within the jurisdiction of RTO Rawalpindi).
The FBR, in a statement, said that the coordinators will further nominate focal persons in each regional tax office and large taxpayers’ units falling within their jurisdictions.
The board has also directed the chief commissioners of the IR to transmit data relating to the amnesty scheme on a daily basis to the chief coordinator.
