Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday notified the deadline for the filing of income tax returns for Tax Year 2020, a news source reported. To this effect, the taxation agency stated that the individuals concerned were required to file their income tax returns latest by September 30.

In a related development, FBR spokesperson Nadeem Hussain announced the launch of a tax-filing mobile phone application. He stated that the said utility was designed to simplify the tax submissions process for filers.

FBR Inland Revenue Member Muhammad Tarique revealed that the application included a ‘new and simplified’ tax form to facilitate the filers. He added that the board intended to launch an awareness campaign on the use of application. He said that the taxation agency was considering attaching a help guide with the online facility to help resolve any issues faced by the users.
