The FBR policy board has meticulously vetted this mechanism under the leadership of its Chairman, Finance Adviser Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh. It reviewed the mechanism, along with other measures, to determine that they would facilitate taxpayers.
Under this advanced mechanism, officers equipped with tablets will be dispatched to capture real-time information and pictures of businesses undergoing the verification process. This includes tracing their GPS coordinates.

During this review meeting, the board also discussed the details of how the data collected from this process will be shared with 12 other organisations. Shaikh also emphasised on the need to establish a link between the FBR and the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) for data sharing and analysis purposes. In addition, he designated a subgroup to present a report on all the hurdles impeding the progress of this plan. This subgroup comprises Hammad Azhar, Dr. Ishrat Hussain, Faiza Kamoka, and the chairmen of both NADRA and the FBR.
