Peshawar: With grounds being cleared for the formation of provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, fast paced development work at Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project resumed, reported a news source. With work proceeding to advance stages, Khyber Bazar and Nothia Road, two important roads falling on the BRT route, have been opened to small vehicles. These roads will be opened to public transport by the end of September.
For ensuring smooth operations at the site, 100 more security guards have been deployed at Saddar Road, while it is expected that by the second week of September, hiring process for all phases of the project will be completed. Development work is underway in all three phases of the project.
The project has already been declared transparent by the Asian Development Bank.
