Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Suhail Khawaja has said that the developmental work on the government’s committed uplift schemes will continue without pause during the going lockdown period, according to a news source.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting held on Tuesday to review the civic agency’s performance amid the going lockdown. He further stated that the FDA staff working on these projects has been directed to follow safety measures prescribed to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
DG Khawaja said that duty timings of staff members would be adjusted in a bid to maintain pace of work on development schemes. He said that since public entry in all FDA office has been suspended on the directives of the Punjab government, the officials should ensure that citizens get access to the necessary information via helpline.

He further stated that no application should be delayed and work routine should continue to proceed online and uninterrupted. In addition, he emphasised that all complaints filed through the Pakistan Citizens Portal should be addressed on a priority basis. He also directed the officials concerned to assist developers in their concerns in order to boost the construction sector.
