Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved the construction of Pakistan’s biggest expo centre in Faisalabad, according to news published on Friday (December 10).

CM Buzdar chaired a review meeting to check the progress of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Punjab, which was attended by FIEDMC and PIEDMC officials, secretary industries, chief secretary, chairmen, and Industries Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal.
As per the details, the expo centre will facilitate foreign investors and industrialists. During the meeting, it was disclosed that an expo centre will also be constructed in Sialkot City. CM also mentioned that a surgical city will also be developed in Sialkot in a bid to boost exports. He further added that the government will soon start development work on the Aqua Park in Chunian.

Moreover, CM Buzdar ordered the authorities concerned to make the SEZs in Chunian, Muzaffargarh, and Bahawalpur operational as soon as possible. He disclosed that funds were released for the provision of utilities for SEZs in Gujrat and Vehari and Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Sheikhupura.
