Faisalabad: On Monday, the Annual Development Programme approved PKR 94.7978 billion for various development schemes being conducted in the district of Faisalabad, a news source reported. These funds will be used to conduct work on a total of 232 schemes approved.

A spokesperson from the local government announced that 36 new projects were being launched, while the remaining 196 projects are currently ongoing. A total of PKR 8.6351 has been earmarked for new schemes in the pipeline.

Around 278 sui-gas and electricity schemes are to be completed in the district at a cost of PKR 1.05 billion. Another PKR 507.2 million will be used to complete work on 26 road projects, with 40% of the work already completed. Nine of these 26 road construction projects have already reached completion, out of which five were constructed under the Naya Pakistan Manzilain Aasan Programme.
