Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Sohail Khawaja on Tuesday asked private developers to resubmit their applications for housing scheme approvals under the recently introduced fast-track approval system — with applications to be approved by the FDA within 60 days under this new arrangement, according to a news source.

The DG further announced that Preliminary Planning Permissions would no longer be issued since the approvals were now supposed to be provided within 60 days.
Khawaja made these comments while on a visit to an e-khidmat markaz in order to review the approval process under the newly introduced system. On the occasion, he additionally suggested that the private developers should submit all the documents, including proof of ownership and layout plans, as part of their applications so that final approvals are provided in a timely manner.

He also praised this new mechanism that was introduced as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, and stated that it would prove to be extremely beneficial for the construction sector.
