Faisalabad: For construction of affordable houses, an appropriate location will be picked, a news source quoted Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar. This will ensure Naya Pakistan Housing Programme’s (NPHP) management in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Dogar shared these views while chairing a meeting held to discuss progress on NPHP. The meeting was attended by Revenue Additional Deputy Commissioner Tariq Niazi and Housing Deputy Director Muhammad Saeed. The assistant commissioners of Jaranwala, Samundari and Chak Jhumra were also present.

Dogar said that in order to equip residents with basic facilities, the chosen location has to be feasible. He also mentioned that acquisition of land in many areas has been recommended. Based on certain parameters, a few selected areas will be inspected further to construct affordable houses.

The final location will be picked after the departments concerned share their feasibility reports, revealed Dogar. This will allow for provision of related facilities and utility services to make these projects livable.

Dogar instructed the officers concerned to take up the project on a priority basis. The final report in this regard is expected to be shared soon.
