According to the details available, Facebook has shortlisted Viral Edge, Httpool, Starcrest, and East River for its ASP programme. ASP is an extension of Facebook’s sales teams — providing local assistance, expertise, and strategic direction for the platform’s various products. The company vets, trains, and educates the ASPs for providing a quality service, credit line to large advertisers, and a possibility of local payments.
Sources have revealed that without ASPs, advertisers have to depend on account managers in Singapore that can create many issues with work efficiency.
The agency that finally wins the ASP bid is expected to increase Facebook’s share of branding and performance media budgets in Pakistan. Meanwhile, it would also act as the first point of contact for advertisers and agencies concerned pertaining to ad-hoc issues that may crop up while running various campaigns.

The selected ASP would also process payments, provide support, knowledge, and expertise for campaigns running across all Facebook-owned platforms.
