Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made an unannounced visit to inspect the progress of two major infrastructure projects in Islamabad: the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange and the Serena Chowk Interchange. An article on January 4 shared the update.

According to the details, these projects aim to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance urban mobility within the capital. Minister Naqvi reviewed the newly constructed flyover at F-8 Exchange Chowk and the underpasses at Serena Chowk Interchange during his visit. He celebrated the completion of the F-8 Exchange Chowk underpass within an unprecedented 42 days, calling it a landmark achievement in the nation’s infrastructure history. To enhance the project’s aesthetics, he recommended incorporating landscaping around the underpass. The F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange is on track for full inauguration in February, according to the minister.

Highlighting the importance of rapid development, Minister Naqvi directed construction teams to maintain a three-shift schedule, deploying additional labour at night to adhere to strict timelines. He stressed the necessity of completing these projects on time to provide much-needed relief to commuters.
