Islamabad: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Acting President Muhammad Naveed Malik has urged the government to extend the tax amnesty scheme by at least a month, according to a news story. According to him, this extension would help the business community and the general public take the most from this scheme.
Malik spoke while addressing a delegation of businessmen led by the Industrial Association Islamabad President and Skills Development Council Islamabad Chairman Mian Akram Farid. The meeting was attended by various other dignitaries as well where he added that the amnesty scheme was announced by previous governments but because it was taken up by the Supreme Court (SC), the businessmen couldn’t take due credit.
The scheme is expected to end on 30th June 2018, but Malik has asked the government to extend it till 31st July 2018 in order to facilitate the greatest number of people.
