Lahore: The Punjab Planning and Development Board has approved funds for the construction of a dual carriageway that will connect the Expo Centre with Khayaban-e-Jinnah and Lahore Ring Road (LRR), according to a news source. Funds worth PKR 7.79 billion have been reserved for the three-lane dual carriageway.
The development funds were approved in a meeting chaired by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman Jahanzaib Khan.
The road connecting Expo Centre with the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) via LRR will be 16.6 kilometres long, while the one connecting the facility with Johar Town via Khayaban-e-Jinnah will be 4.8 kilometres in length. Both these roads will benefit over 100,000 motorists who use the route on a daily basis.
