Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar stated that the government will expand the scope of Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) across the province, a news source reported. He added that similar projects will also be introduced in major cities of Punjab.

Buzdar made the announcement while chairing the 24th Board Forum of the PSCA. He revealed that the construction phase has already been completed for a number of cities. These include Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala.
The CM also sanctioned the recruitment of new staff in order to meet the needs of the project. For the existing workforce, he approved a career plan that includes impetrative changes in service regulations. In addition, he announced gratuity for the staff upon the successful completion of their services. Buzdar also provided instructions to the authorities concerned for the extension of the contract up to four years.

After the meeting, the CM visited various sections of the PSCA’s premier project, Punjab Police’s Integrated Command, Control, and Communication (PPIC3). He appreciated the well-maintained professional standards, amenities, and working environment for the staff.
