Multan: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mudasar Riaz Malik has stated that an exclusive sports ground will be established for women, a news source reported. This will help encourage a better sports environment for women, said Malik.

In this regard, an agreement with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been finalised. The DC said that no male entry will be allowed in this ground. According to the agreement, PCB has allotted the Nishtar Road Primary School ground to the City District Administration for setting up a women-exclusive sports ground.
The agreement was signed by Col (retd.) Ishfaq of PCB and the DC on behalf of City District Administration. The agreement states that the ground will be developed exclusively for sporting women. The PCB will also set up a cricket academy for girls at the ground.
The DC stated that a gymnasium and track for indoor games and athletics will also be included. He was appreciative of the City District Administration honouring its commitment towards establishing a separate ground for women.
