Multan: The Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department has issued warning notices to 37,000 property owners across Multan asking them to fulfil their tax obligation, according to news published on May 22.

As per the details, Excise and Taxation Multan has issued final warning notices and after the deadline, a comprehensive operation against the defaulters will be started without any discrimination. The notices were issued as part of the efforts of Excise Office Multan to achieve tax collection targets. The notices were served to property owners in different areas of Multan including Hussain Agahi Bazaar, Bosan Road, Abdali Road, Kala Mandi, Masoom Shah Road, and others.

Excise Director Iftikhar Ahmad Bhali highlighted the importance of tax payments from the business community and owners of luxury residences, commercial markets, and plazas. He said that 70% of the property tax revenue is reserved for local development projects. He requested the citizens to timely pay property taxes for the provision of basic amenities in the region and avoid any legal consequences.
