Lahore: The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department (ETNCD), Punjab has started a crackdown against defaulters of property tax and luxury house tax, according to publication. Under this operation, the ETNCD can issue arrest warrants for the tax defaulters throughout the province, confiscate and sell their property, penalise them, increase surcharge on the due tax, and even seal their properties.
The publication also reads that the ETNCD has issued challan forms for property tax and luxury house tax. Those who haven’t received them can contact their nearest excise office. It also recommends tax defaulters to clear their due taxes to avoid facing the above-mentioned consequences. The due taxes can be paid in any branch of National bank and Estate Bank.
