Rawalpindi: The Punjab Excise & Taxation Department has announced September 30 as the deadline for the payment of property and token tax, a news source reported yesterday (September 6). The department has also announced incentives for individuals making payments by the said date.

In case of timely payment of property tax, the rebate has been increased from 5% to 10%. For those making the property tax payments digitally, the rebate has been increased to 15%. Additionally, the tax payers have now been allowed to make payments through various digital platforms including Jazz Cash, Easypaisa, mobile banking, bank counters and internet banking.

Similarly, the rebate on the timely payment of the token tax has been raised from 10% to 20%, while in case of digital payments, the rebate goes as high as 25%. At the same time, the department has also warned of a crackdown – starting from October 1 – in case of non-compliance.
