Lahore: The Excise & Taxation Department is engaged in setting up a facilitation centre at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to allow chamber members to avail a number of major facilities provided by the department, according to a news report published on July 15.

LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh and Excise and Taxation Secretary Wajihullah Kundi held a meeting on the matter. The facilitation centre will allow the LCCI members to make payments through the e-payment system available at the facilitation centre. It will also allow them to enjoy a 15% rebate on property tax and 25% on vehicle token tax.
Speaking on the occasion, Kundi said that it is the department’s goal to build taxpayer confidence, create a culture of taxpaying and provide maximum facilities to the public.

The LCCI president also spoke on the occasion and said that the e-payment system at the facilitation centre of excise department will provide great relief to the members.
