Lahore: The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has announced its decision to digitise and prepare geo-maps for its properties – as well as places of worship (including mandirs and gurdwaras) maintained by it – situated throughout the country, a news source reported on September 29.

To this effect, the ETPB will sign an agreement with the Survey of Pakistan; the draft for which has been prepared and will be presented before a meeting of the board today (September 30).

Speaking to the media, an ETPB representative revealed that the two institutions would sign the draft agreement following its approval by the board. He added that the digitisation project would be launched on a timely basis. He stated that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had directed the authorities concerned to digitise waqf properties across the country; adding that the premier took the decision following reports of an increase in instances of illegal possessions of waqf properties.
