Rawalpindi: The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) is to complete an inquiry related to encroachments on Kali Mata temple, according to a news report. A senior representative at the ETPB said that a surrounding area of 20 marlas, owned by the temple, is being encroached by traders as they’ve set up shops here.
The locals informed the authorities at the ETPB when the traders tried to bring down a part of the temple to construct shops on the upper floor. The senior representative said that the renting of a portion of the building has occurred because of negligence on part of the ETPB. Looking into the matter, a district administration official said that the initial inquiry will be made by the ETPB officials and then the revenue department officials would visit to check the administration records pertaining to this.
