Reportedly, the decision was shared by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Mufti Abdul Shakoor. The minister said that after the digitisation of the land, people sitting at home would be able to view the records of all properties and participate in land auctions. Additionally, illegal occupants and rental issues will now be identified and resolved as soon as possible. Moreover, he stated that the government would eradicate encroachments, improving the trust’s revenue.

The additional revenue generated in the first year after digitisation will be 25% of the total, which will be spent on minorities’ welfare across the country. It is worth noting that the government initiated the Cadastral mapping project last year with the goal of digitising and recording all government land across the country.
According to the administration, the goal was to prevent unlawful occupation and encroachment of state land.
